Adulting and the Good Old Days...

In the Final Season of the TV Series, The Office, one of the main characters, Andy Bernard, says: “I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them.”

I believe there is a way to know, if I’m just a little more mindful. And thanks to the line in the show, (hopefully) people will be thinking about the concept further.

About a year ago, my sister turned 40. We had an epic time celebrating. And while doing so, I had a keen sense that I was in “the good old days.”

And I relished every moment.

I felt double the pleasure: Not only enjoying the moments but also realizing their significance and soaking them up even more.

I hope you will take some time to enjoy the good old days…today.

Welcome to my blog on adulting! Being "older" is worth celebrating in an anxious world that tends to glorify "younger." I hope this site is a place you will find encouragement and positive words.
